Your employer has opted to protect your income in all cases: partial as well as full disability. Safeguarding an adequate income for you at all times.
Less than 35% incapacitated for work
If you are less than 35% incapacitated, you are not entitled to a WIA benefit. You remain employed by your employer, in principle, although possibly under a modified contract. If this results in you earning less, Loyalis will supplement your loss of income to 80% for a period of 10 years. This is conditional on you earning at least 65% of your old income yourself.
Sample calculation
Let’s say you used to earn €1,000, and now, under a modified contract, you only earn €650. Loyalis will supplement your lower wage for a period of 10 years. This supplement is: €1,000 minus €650 = €350 x 80% = €280. Your total income is then: €930 (93% of your original wage).
